# Record field projection

Build-time release reference. Runtime readiness, deployment, payment settlement and external indexing are not evaluated here. Prices are proposed; this file cannot authorize execution or payment.

WHEN TO USE: Shape up to 1,000 records into a small downstream payload, selecting nested fields with JSON Pointers and assigning flat output names. Up to 100 unique output names; missing fields are omitted, set to null, or rejected according to onMissing (default error). Unsafe names are rejected. Maximum 100,000 serialized characters and depth 32.
