Inspect supplied URLs, headers, dates and domain evidence
Apply bounded standards-oriented profiles to explicit input, with a separately declared live domain-DNS exception.
How to choose
Distinguish syntax inspection from live observation. URL inspection does not fetch URLs; the domain-DNS profile is x402-only and has a separate provider-review gate.
Parsing is not reputation, authentication or complete standards certification. Live DNS evidence cannot prove mailbox deliverability.
Use to validate tool output with a bounded JSON Schema subset: scalar types, objects, arrays, enum/const, limits and combinators. Rejects $ref, regex and unsupported keywords; not a full draft validator.
Choose for: Validate a supplied value against the explicitly supported bounded schema subset.
Outside this profile: Full JSON Schema draft conformance, $ref resolution, or regex validation.
Use to parse and normalize an HTTP(S) URL without fetching it. Returns origin, IDNA host, port and query pairs. Rejects credentials; normalization does not certify URL safety.
Choose for: Inspect supplied HTTP(S) URLs with IDNA normalization without fetching.
Outside this profile: SSRF protection, reputation verdicts, DNS lookup, or live link checks.
Use to validate and lowercase HTTP field names and trim field values before signing or comparing requests. Preserves repeated headers as arrays and does not combine Set-Cookie.
Choose for: Validate HTTP field names and trim values while preserving repeated Set-Cookie headers and multiple values.
Outside this profile: HTTP request transmission or combining Set-Cookie into one field.
Use to fingerprint UTF-8 payloads for content-addressing, cache keys and integrity comparisons. Computes SHA-256/384/512; this is not a signature or authentication service.
Choose for: Compute a SHA digest of supplied UTF-8 text.
Outside this profile: Authentication, digital signatures, encryption, or file downloading.
Use to normalize RFC3339 timestamps with an explicit offset or Unix epoch milliseconds into UTC ISO text, epoch milliseconds and epoch seconds. Rejects rollover dates and leap seconds.
Choose for: Convert strict offset timestamps or epoch milliseconds into UTC.
Outside this profile: Natural-language dates, missing timezones, or leap seconds.
Use to convert fixed ISO8601 durations (days, hours, minutes, seconds) to seconds and a canonical duration. Calendar years/months/weeks and negative values are deliberately unsupported.
Use for deterministic length, mass, time, byte-size or temperature conversions in agent tool inputs. Explicit case-sensitive units distinguish MB from MiB; rejects incompatible dimensions.
Use to compare strict Semantic Versioning versions and evaluate npm-compatible version ranges before choosing a package. Prerelease matching is excluded by default unless the range explicitly allows it.
Choose for: Compare strict versions and check npm-compatible ranges.
Outside this profile: Looking up package releases, vulnerabilities, or non-SemVer version systems.
Inspect one public ASCII domain's live MX, null MX, or implicit A/AAAA fallback with resolver/time/TTL evidence. Domain only; no email address, mailbox, deliverability, disposable/free-provider or role classification. x402 only.
Choose for: Inspect public-domain mail-routing DNS records with bounded live resolver evidence.
Outside this profile: Full email validation, mailbox existence, SMTP delivery tests, disposable/free-provider/role classification, MX-host reachability, arbitrary DNS record types, private DNS, internationalized Unicode input, or guaranteed DNS freshness.
Convert one explicit UTC instant into 1–10 IANA zone local times and exact UTC offsets, including the runtime's daylight-saving transitions. No wall-time guessing, current-clock lookup, recurrence or DST boolean. Runtime tzdb version is not exposed.
Choose for: Convert one supplied UTC instant to 1–10 local representations with second-accurate offsets under the installed runtime IANA data.
Outside this profile: Resolve an ambiguous or nonexistent local wall time, infer a city or abbreviation, fetch current time, classify DST with a boolean, schedule recurring events, or guarantee historical/future political time-zone rules.
Shift date-only Gregorian values by working days under supplied weekly closures and explicit closed dates. Roll an initially closed anchor explicitly, then count open dates strictly after or before it. No holiday lookup, clock, timezone or legal deadline verification.
Choose for: Add or subtract business days on an explicit supplied closure calendar Roll a closed starting date before a date-only working-day offset
Outside this profile: National holiday discovery, bank settlement or legal deadline advice Working-hour arithmetic, timezone conversion, recurring event scheduling or real organization calendar verification Live execution, network lookups, payments, reservation, or inferring factual correctness of supplied data
